Franklin, NC Chamber of Commerce - January 2, 2017
The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Sassy Stitches to its membership at a ribbon cutting celebration held recently. Sassy Stitches is located at 106 W. Palmer Street near downtown Franklin.
Sassy Stitches was purchased by Lindy Blanton and her mother, Anne Alewine on July 1, 2016. Mother and Daughter had lived apart for many years and are so thankful to be sharing time together at their new shop. Sassy Stitches, formerly Deb's Cats N Quilts, first opened as a small three-room shop in 2005. Lindy has been part of the shop since the beginning. She taught school during the week and worked at the shop on the weekends and during the summer.
Today, Sassy Stitches is a 4300 square-foot, full-service quilt shop. Prior to the purchase of the shop, Deb's Cats N Quilts was honored to be a featured shop in Quilt Sampler magazine. Customers come from several nearby states to participate in our classes and just to shop. Visitors have stopped in from Canada and England. The owners and staff pride themselves on excellent customer service, making sure everyone has fun, and providing an exciting place to gather, learn, and fellowship. There are always clubs and classes going on at the shop.
Check out the weekly newsletter posted on Facebook each Sunday. Sassy Stitches carries many lines of fabric, notions, wool, embroidery, English paper piecing, Janome sewing machines, and much more! If you've never been to our shop, plan a visit today. You don't know what you're missing! Hope to see you soon!
